Tech Companion Continues Superior Technology Lessons for Kids by Meeting State Standard Educational Requirements

Lake Forest, California - August 20, 2006 - Successfully integrating technology curriculum into California school children’s regular tutorials, Tech Companion recently announced that its line of technology-based lesson plans for Kid Pix® version 3 and 4 will soon be expanded to meet state standards in New York, Illinois, Florida and Texas. The expansion will provide important technology lesson plans for teachers and parents who want to enhance the technology learning process for children both in school and at home.

Developed by veteran teacher Cynthia Garland, Tech Companion lesson plans utilize Kid Pix Deluxe software to incorporate technology into the classroom setting. Children can begin these informative technology tutorials as early as kindergarten and seamlessly continue their technology education through the sixth grade. Tech Companion teaching tools provide students with six, technology-based lesson plans at each grade level and teaches children necessary computer skills in tandem with the core curriculum areas of Language Arts, Science, Math, and Social Studies.

“The responsibility of giving students a quality education is often times being lost because of the demands of time and paperwork,” says Garland. “I developed Tech Companion technology lesson plans to enhance the learning process by combining the standard curriculum with technology training. These lessons are easy for students and educators to understand and truly provide an interactive and unmatched learning resource for all students.”

The latest version of Tech Companion’s lesson plans, Kid Pix Deluxe 4 Projects for the Classroom, meets or exceeds all of the stringent California requirements for content as well as meets or exceeds those demanded by New York, Illinois, Florida and Texas. In addition, Tech Companion’s latest release also meets the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) standards. The ISTE is a prestigious non-profit organization that serves to provide leadership and improve teaching by advancing the effective use of technology in education. Offering guidance to educators and parents, ISTE works toward advocacy for technology based education, and is involved with research that directly involves how technology based lesson plans enhance children’s educations.

“I am extremely proud to have developed a tool that can help thousands of teachers, parents and students across the nation,” says Garland. “Tech Companion Kid Pix® technology lesson plans are an incredible way to easily teach the necessary computer skills to our children while they are learning the required curriculum content for their grade level.”

The latest version of Tech Companion’s technology based lesson plans, which meets state standards in California, New York, Illinois, Florida and Texas, will become available during the 2006 back-to-school timeframe.
